Pamukkale / Hierapolis is among the oldest thermal cities in the world. Pamukkale is a natural protected area in the southwest region, as its name suggests, and is a uniquely beautiful place consisting of white natural travertines like cotton. The region consists of warm healing spring waters and travertines, terrace-like white layers formed by the carbonate minerals left behind by the stream. The ancient city of Hierapolis was established at the top of Pamukkale, dominating the entire landscape.
We will depart from Antalya at 6 o'clock with our vehicle and arrive in Pamukkale after a 3-hour journey. In the middle of the road, at the top of the mountains, we will have a breakfast break in Korkuteli. When we arrive in Pamukkale, we will visit the world-famous travertines, the ancient Greek city of Hieropolis and swim in the waters of the thermal healing Cleopatra pool.
Ancient Hieropolis, one of the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ, St. Philip's is known for its cemetery – the city played an important role in the spread of Christianity. The city, which has a beautiful location, offers great views.
Cleopatra pool offers a different pleasure! It is pleasant to swim in its pool surrounded by Roman columns. Filled with warm (above 36°) pure mineral water, it is used to treat heart and blood vessels, musculoskeletal system, etc. It is useful for diseases.
