The tour departs from Antalya early in the morning, and the meeting point and departure time must be confirmed after the reservation: The departure times of the tour vehicles can change depending on the season, crowd size, and the number of participants, so the exact meeting point and departure time will be communicated to you after your reservation. To avoid disruptions during your journey and to prevent missing the vehicle, it is advised to note the given time and address, and to arrive at the meeting point a few minutes early if possible. A Museum Card or an additional entrance fee may be required for entry to Pamukkale travertines; these fees are usually not included in the tour: Entry to Pamukkale Archaeological Site and travertines falls under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, and Museum Card holders may have the right to discounted or free entry. In most cases, the tour fee only includes transportation and guiding services; therefore, it is important to have cash on hand for museum/site entrance fees that need to be paid at the door. Comfortable walking shoes and non-slip sandals are recommended; it is mandatory to walk barefoot in some areas of the travertines: Due to the limestone structure of Pamukkale travertines, some areas may be hard and slippery; hence, it is advisable to wear comfortable and supportive walking shoes to be able to explore throughout the day without getting tired. To protect the natural formations and prevent damage to the surface, it is prohibited to walk with shoes in certain parts of the travertines; you should be ready to walk barefoot in these areas, while non-slip sandals can only be used in allowed zones. It is recommended to bring a swimsuit, towel, and spare clothes; there may be an extra fee for swimming in the Hierapolis Antique Pool: To enjoy the thermal waters and swim in the ancient pool, it would be practical to wear clothes that can get wet instead of bringing a swimsuit and spare clothes. The Hierapolis Antique Pool is charged separately from the archaeological site; while it may be free to just visit the pool, swimming in it usually requires an extra entrance fee, and services like towel and slipper rental may also incur additional charges. Whether lunch and drinks are included in the tour should be checked in the tour program, and cash should be kept for extra expenses: In some tours, a set menu lunch is included in the price, while drinks or certain meal options may be extra; therefore, reviewing the package content in advance can prevent unexpected expenses. Since card payment may not be possible everywhere in Pamukkale and its surrounding areas, it is important to have a certain amount of cash in Turkish Lira for personal needs, snacks, drinks, and souvenirs. The tour duration is usually a full day; as the return to Antalya is in the evening, it is recommended to carry personal medications, sunscreen, a hat, and water: Since this tour starts early in the morning and ends late in the evening, it is essential for your health to bring any medications you regularly use. Using sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses against strong sunlight, as well as keeping sufficient water on hand, will help you stay comfortable in hot weather and prevent issues such as heatstroke or dehydration.
Comfortable walking shoes and season-appropriate clothing
Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses
Spare clothes and swimsuit/bikini (for the travertines)
